Let’s Talk: Celebrating the Black Family
July is Black Family Month, a time to honor and celebrate the strength, resilience, and unity of Black families. In recognition of this important month, we are excited to invite you to a special virtual event in partnership with Greater Ithaca Activities Center and Southside Community Center. Let’s celebrate the importance of family and community together! This event provides a platform to acknowledge and cherish the role of Black families in our society. Gain insights and resources to strengthen family bonds, learn valuable tips and strategies to enhance family unity and well-being, connect with other families and community members, build new relationships and strengthen existing ones within the community, and more!
Presentation and Discussion: Inspiring words on the significance of Black family unity and heritage. Engaging conversation with community leaders on the challenges and triumphs of Black families today.
Family Storytelling: Hear moving stories from families in our community, sharing their experiences, traditions, and legacies.
