Join us for a Community Listening Session for Grantees & Applicants
We are committed to strengthening community bonds and maintaining meaningful relationships with you. We believe that staying connected with your experiences and challenges is vital to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and equitable community.
In lieu of our usual fall grant cycle Q&A, we invite you to join us for a Community Listening Session. This session is an opportunity for applicants and grantees to come together with Community Foundation staff, to share what is happening in your work, discuss your needs, and ask questions. Although we are not holding a fall grant cycle this year, our commitment to building trust and offering support in other meaningful ways remains unwavering. We want to know the challenges you are facing and how you have overcome those challenges. This is an opportunity to share with each other how widespread those challenges are and learn how others are handling them. Be prepared to share your thoughts, experiences, and concerns with us and fellow applicants and grantees. We want you to ask questions so we can gain insight into how we can support you, even outside of our regular grant cycles. We want to keep our finger on the pulse of the community and we ask you to help.
We plan to resume our grant cycle in the spring, and would love your feedback on how to improve your experiences. Start thinking about your thoughts and concerns about the application process, resources available, whether or not one cycle per year works for you, ways to improve your experience, and how we can best serve you. By listening and engaging directly with you, we aim to deepen our understanding of the unique needs of Tompkins County. Your voice matters. We are here to listen, learn, and support you. We look forward to hearing from you and working together to build a stronger, more connected community.
